Tracey and John

I enjoy every wedding that I photograph, but it adds to the excitement (and sometimes to the nerves as well) when the bride is a friend. I've known Tracey since she played rec soccer with my big sister, and growing up our families celebrated nearly every 4th of July at the lake, with our boats tied together watching the fireworks. I was so honored that she asked me to photograph her wedding, and wanted to share a few favorites. Congrats Tracey and John!

The guys were a lot of fun! I had them run and jump over me, which I'm sure made them feel a little crazy, but they were great sports!

I love this one! We were out doing some shots and it started to rain!

Daddies make the best toys! I'm sure somewhere nearby is a very nervous mommy!

What cute kids! They look an awful lot like my niece and nephew...

Melissa and Graham

Melissa and Graham flew in from the great state of Texas for some wedding planning, and we met today in downtown Colorado Springs for their engagement shoot. We had a great time - the city is always so lively on the weekends! We even got to enjoy a concert in Acacia Park! Here are a few of my favorites.

Something's Fishy...

At the urging of my mom, I did a few shots of Isaac in his Halloween costume. I do believe that he simply must be the cutest little lobster that there ever was! Maybe being his mom makes me a little biased...

A Walk to Remember

This past weekend I had the privilege of photographing the Walk to Remember, an event that allows families to remember their beloved babies who are no longer with them. Each child's name was read, at which time the family released a balloon, soon filling the sky with a mosaic of color. I was truly moved by the strength of the many mothers, fathers, sisters, brothers, and grandparents that gathered together, determined to honor their babies, and never allow them to be forgotten. May the rest of us never forget what a miracle and a blessing our children are.
