Spencer and Mary were married on August 1st at the Secret Garden, a beautiful venue in Colorado Springs that I didn't even know existed. They lucked out - it was the only day that week that it didn't rain! The ceremony and reception were both outside, and I was truly taken aback by how beautiful everything was, as well as by Spencer and Mary's relationship. They are so very much in love, and have such amazing families! It was a joy to photograph them! Thanks Spencer and Mary for allowing me to share in your joyful day! Congratulations!
My friend Katie is expecting her second baby in September (it's hard to believe we're old enough for this), so we did a few maternity shots at her new house this morning. We started off with the whole family in the bed that Tim made Katie for Christmas one year, and managed to get a few with Laura, though she was more interested in jumping on the bed! We had a great time and ended up with some great shots!
A few days ago I did Tim and Jessica's engagement shoot at Garden of the Gods. We went around sunset, and the lighting was beautiful. It was also the first day all week that it didn't rain! We had a fantastic time walking around, talking about movies, and stalking the deer! Thanks for such a great time, Tim and Jess - I'm looking forward to your wedding in September!
Look closely and you can see the deer that we stalked:
I recently returned from visiting my brother in Texas. I've been wanting to play around and do some shots in a fountain, and he and his wife were nice enough to play along. They were great sports and we had a lot of fun!
I'm not quite finished editing Marty and Holly's wedding at the new (and gorgeous) Cielo Castle Pines, but I wanted to put up a few images from their "first look." It was such a special moment!
Josh and LaNee had a beautiful wedding at the Pinery in Blackforest. I know you're not supposed to play favorites, but this one ranks up there! Both families were so kind and loving - Josh and LaNee have great examples to look to in starting their life together. And there was no lack of fun to be had! One toast even included a piece of attire that I can honestly say I have never seen before (and hope to never see modeled). Congratulations Josh and Lanee, and thank you for allowing me to be a part of your special day!
